This is the title for my latest layout using Mikki Livanos’ template at Hooked on Template Challenge Week 8 in Scrapbook-Elements.
Cute enough to Eat:
Hui Xian has always love big, cute, cuddly toys, the bigger the better. She never fails to stop us at the mall begging us with her puppy dog frowns to please buy her another one. The layout above showed us walking by this all pink accessories shop and she went inside immediately without telling anyone. Luckily I was behind her because the rest of the troops were already way ahead of us. Found her cuddling a very cute gingerbread man and of course the begging started which included puppy dog frowns and battling of eye lashes! o_0 When every effort failed to get me to buy her that or at least talk to her dad (chances are high da-da will buy it for her!) she tried to eat the toy. Said, ‘It’s CUTE enough to eat!’ hence the title. And nope… she begged her dad later on but he didn’t approved. 🙂
Hui Xian has just too many toys in her collection. The photo on the left is just a small portion of them. There are a 12 foot long snake and a huge sized tiger her dad bought her which are still in Germany. These two are kept in a storage facilities which include other toys as well. We only consented to the collection she has currently because we can packed into 2 giant boxes when we move. Each toy has a story to tell, some as old as she is and they have been picked up from different parts of the world. For instance the Garfield is from Seoul, S. Korea, Mickey Mouse was one of her first toy she carried along when she was a toddler, Sylvester came from Australia, there’s this pink bunny at the top left which was given to her by a Qatari boy who liked her a lot and was following her everywhere like a puppy, purple birdie from a friend in San Francisco, and there is Winnie the Pooh in pyjama. This friend actually sewed Hui Xian’s name on it. There is a Papa Bear and Mama Bear ~ 2 huge bears and heavy too. Papa bear sleeps in her bed at night including Crocky the green crocodile and a lot more. Curl, our cat included! LOL
There are many more stories to tell and these toys carry a lot of precious memory for our girl. Every now and then a small parcel arrive with another cute toy for her and soon the 2 boxes for storage won’t be enough anymore because surely Hui Xian won’t let anyone of them go. The cute Gingerbread man is adorable. I might just get that for her Christmas… 😉
